Sharpe Family Newsletter March 2008

Dear Friends & Supporters,

We have had some great and exciting things going on in the past two months. First of all, I had the privilege of officiating a wedding ceremony right here at the Mission chapel.  This was a wonderful story of a couple who got saved while staying here at the Mission and decided they had to make everything right. It was my joy to be a part of their life as they are honoring God as a new family.

Easter Sunday was a blessing for me as I preached at Bethel Baptist Church in Blackshear, GA. Five precious people made public professions of faith in the A.M. service and the Lord really blessed us all.

We have several men and a couple ladies in the last two months who have landed jobs and moved out on their own. One of the men is named Richard. I had the great privilege of leading him to the Lord right here in the Mission parking lot. He was in prison for eight years for murder! His name is now on Heaven’s roll and he has gained employment and is on his own again.

Piedmont Baptist Church in Kannapolis, NC will be sending a group of men down the third week of April to replace all the windows in our Mission building. This church has paid over $3000.00 for the new windows and will be doing all of the labor as well. We are very excited about this much needed update to the building.

Our family is doing very well. Thank you to all of our supporters who make it possible for us to be on the “mission field”. We simply could not do this ministry without your support.

Love- Travis Sharpe & Family
